MEDEAS project participated in the SESYNC Workshop: Linking local consumption to global impacts – Carbon Neutral Pathway

Several MEDEAS partners were invited to participate in the SESYNC Workshop: Linking local consumption to global impacts – Carbon Neutral Pathway which was held on 17th- 19th January 2017 in the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center, Annapolis, Maryland, USA. The agenda of the workshop included system dynamics, input-output analysis and social objectives analysis for the energy transition. Luis Miguel Gonzalez from UVa held a presentation on “System dynamic modeling”, Klaus Hubacek from IIASA discussed “Input-output modeling and database”, Jordi Solé Ollé from CSIC introduced the MEDEAS project and talked about the challenges to the SD-IO model integration and Martin Baumann from AEA as well as Laixiang Sun from IIASA discussed the TIMES model and its coupling with input-output model in Austria. Christian Kimmich from MU also participated in the workshop.
